Checking In

No particular news this time. I'm sort of toying with the idea of a new fanfic. Don't want to spoil it. I can say with confidence however, that Mario characters are most definitely NOT involved. A large change from prior efforts in and of itself.

Now for the next "Site of the Moment". It's long been on this blog's sidebar, but as a forum user there since 2002 I'd like to give it further attention...

GeoCities closing: October 26th

After all these years, Yahoo has decided to close down GeoCities. You can read more details about that here.

So my long-standing old site, along with numerous other people's, will no longer reside there. I believe I'd created mine back in 2001. How times change fast on the web!

Luckily however, the Internet Archive is aiming to preserve as much as they can. I'll link to the backup should they accept it.

More Filefront news.

Now this is interesting. Only a few days after Filefront says they're closing, it would seem the original founders bought it back from Ziff Davis Media.

I'll post any further updates on the situation as they become available.
