GeoCities closing: October 26th

After all these years, Yahoo has decided to close down GeoCities. You can read more details about that here.

So my long-standing old site, along with numerous other people's, will no longer reside there. I believe I'd created mine back in 2001. How times change fast on the web!

Luckily however, the Internet Archive is aiming to preserve as much as they can. I'll link to the backup should they accept it.

More Filefront news.

Now this is interesting. Only a few days after Filefront says they're closing, it would seem the original founders bought it back from Ziff Davis Media.

I'll post any further updates on the situation as they become available.

Website news

Well, it appears that ZendURL is shutting down. I've backed up all the data. Nothing of mine at the Eon Hacks site is lost, no worries. Ask if you want to see it. I'll work on finding a new good host. =)

All other content is unaffected! This blog, the forum and wiki, and so on.

Subdomain

Turns out the subdomain for the site isn't working right now. Please use http://zendurl.com/tc on any links involving it instead.

Yeah, I know the projects have slowed down quite a bit. I'm currently looking into free hosting options. To have this blog, etc on one server would make it a lot easier to manage. In case I'm too busy for another post soon... Happy (insert holiday here)!

Site news

Using a domain name turned out to be too much hassle. I had to manually setup every page. Not fun, considering the overambious plans of mine. My current main site (http://tc.zendurl.com/ or http://zendurl.com/tc) remains open and official. I'll post updates right here should anything happen. ^_^
